These sermons come to you from the pulpit of the Bible for Today Baptist Church in Collingswood, NJ, pastored by Dr. D. A. Waite. They represent a lifetime of study and preaching.

Dr. Waite received a BA (Bachelor of Arts) in classical Greek and Latin from the University of Michigan in 1948, a ThM (Master of Theology), with high honors, in New Testament Greek Literature and Exegesis from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1952, an MA (Master of Arts) in Speech from Southern Methodist University in 1953, a ThD (Doctor of Theology), with honors, in Bible Exposition from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1955, and a PhD in Speech from Purdue University in 1961. He held both New Jersey and Pennsylvania teacher certificates in Greek and Language Arts.

Dr. Waite has been a teacher in the areas of Greek, Hebrew, Bible, Speech, and English for over thirty-five years in ten schools, including one junior high, one senior high, four Bible institutes, two colleges, two universities, and one seminary. He served his country as a Navy Chaplain for five years on active duty; pastored three churches; was Chairman and Director of the Radio and Audio-Film Commission of the American Council of Christian Churches; since 1969, has been Founder, President, and Director of THE BIBLE FOR TODAY; since 1978, has been Founder and President of the DEAN BURGON SOCIETY; has produced over 700 other studies, books, cassettes, VHS's, CD's, or VCR's on various topics in defense of traditional Bible texts, on radio, shortwave, and streaming on the Internet.

Dr. Waite is best known across the country and throughout the world in his role as a vigorous defender of the historic Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic texts. Because he believes the King James Bible to be the most accurate translation of these texts, he has also been a rigorous defender of the King James Bible, though he assigns no special inspiration of it.

These messages represent a lifetime of teaching on Romans through Revelation. Dr. Waite preaches through these books verse by verse paying attention to the meanings of words in their context making the Scriptures rise up and touch the issues of life.

Dr. Waite was married in 1948 to Yvonne Sanbourn. They were together for 71 years until her passing in 2020. God graciously gave them four sons, one daughter, eight grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren. Since October 4, 1998, he has been the Pastor of The Bible For Today Baptist Church in Collingswood, New Jersey.
